Whiskey Burger Smash Burgers

These smash burgers pack serious flavor with crispy, caramelized edges and melty cheese, all boosted by bold Blackstone Whiskey Burger Seasoning. Pile them onto toasted buns, load up your favorite toppings, and don’t forget a side of fries for the ultimate burger night experience!

- 2 lb. ground beef
- 1 onion thinly sliced
- Hamburger buns
- Cheese slices American, cheddar, or your favorite
- Blackstone Whiskey Burger Seasoning
- Yellow Mustard
Preheat a griddle or large skillet to medium-high heat.
Form the ground beef into loose balls, about 3–4 ounces each.
Slice the onion thinly and set aside.
Season each beef ball generously with Blackstone Whiskey Burger Seasoning.
Place a small amount of onions on the grill and place a beef ball on the onions and immediately smash them flat using a heavy spatula or burger press.
Top each patty with Whiskey Burger Seasoning and a thin layer of mustard. Let cook without moving for 2–3 minutes until the edges are crispy and the onions start to caramelize.
Once the onions start to caramelize underneath.
Flip the patties and top with a slice of cheese on top and cook for another 1–3 minutes until melted.
Toast the hamburger buns on the griddle until lightly golden.
Assemble the burgers with your favorite toppings, our favorite is homemade Big Mac Sauce.
Serve hot and enjoy immediately!
